Bir Hospital- "Cleaning & Painting"

What may the best way to celebrate Saturday???

It was a great time today, with social activists who believe and have attitude “YES WE CAN”,

YES WE CAN !!!!!

 learning and enjoying the painting and cleaning program at Bir-Hospital. Bir- Hospital being the oldest hospital in Nation provides service to people free of cost and to some department at minimum cost.

I saw lots of positive vibes with “YES” attitude, working hard to make hospital areas clean and my little brothers and sisters from art-group flowing their creative arts at the walls of the Bir-Hospital.

Currently, Bir-Hospital only has the proper waste management system in the Nation. It utilizes almost all the waste materials and changes them to gases and others forms. It is great to know about such initiation, by seeing these waste management system others hospitals are also taking an initiation to manage the waste materials propely.

The thing that got struck in my mind was the oldest hospital has only around 400 beds. They provide around 150 beds for free of cost and others beds are available at minimum charge of Rs. 100. 

 It was very sad to know being the oldest Hospital and only the hospital that provides maximum facilities has only 400 beds to serve the patients from all over the country.

Doesn’t Hospital receive the government-grants to promote and expands its facilities?

Truth to be told, Most people prefer to others hospitals compare to that of Bir, due to its slow serving services, and this hospital has been famous for only for the class of have-not.

Lesson of the Day:

What I really aspect from all my friends, colleagues, brothers and sisters who participated at the cleaning and painting campaign today to take an oath that when we will be capable to feed ourselves, earn and start to built our lives, just donate a sum, an amount that really can contribute to make hospital better. Not this

Together We Can ...

hospital but the hospital of your area, your village, your hometown, where the patients can get best facility of Medical Services and doesn’t need to move capital city in the seek of proper medical services.

I don’t know where I will be after 10 years, but I am sure I will be contributing a certain sum of amount that I earned to the fields where my small help will a difference.

1^st December is widely celebrated as “World AIDS Day”, my mind was just thinking about aids, safe sex, use of condoms, safe syringe and so on….

So So So what ????

I didn’t participated at any special events at AIDS day but I did something better this December. While Participating in the Cleaning and painting program at Bir- Hospital, I got a chance to play with colors.

Truly be told, I have never before got a chance to do wall painting. Well, there were few public events for street art but due to college time and studies, I couldn’t attend any of them.

This Saturday, at Bir-Hospital, the idea of Safe Sex and Condoms just hit my mind while we (Ashim and Me) were planning to start wall Art. Tried to remember something more but …………………….. Mind is Empty……… soon got something interesting, a clear message at the walls of Bir-Hospital.

“Have Safe Sex………………………. Use Condoms…………………………………………”

Thanks to Kist Bank which has advertised the sign of male and female over the different boards of Kathmandu valley, soon the idea floated over mind and then it was time to plot the idea over the walls of hospital.

         We ( Ashim, and Me) with a final touch of Anil Bro and Diwash bro have  done pretty Well Wall-Art.
