The old teacher in the class
“Passion is a great virtue to be within student. Without passion you
cannot achieve anything. Isaac Newton was having a great passion. He
developed calculus in five and half years’ time. When other people
used to ask Newton about the way towards success he said,” I just
start to think and when I start to think I will not stop thinking
until I will get it answer, I will think until I am not satisfied with
answers that I get. I will try to understand its language and if there
is no language to understand it then I will try to develop the
language to understand and the language I used is universal language
that is mathematics. I will never let my passion to fall down.” If you
wish to stand in front of this class holding a tea cup over your head
for two hours then you should only concentrate over the cup not to
fall for two hours. That’s all about passion. If you can do then you
start to develop a habit of developing passion. “
These were the interesting things that the old teacher around in his
70 s was saying in the period of mathematics. A Student stills notices
that teacher who was having white hair and a big forehead,according to
Hindu religion, those who had big forehead had a big fortune. He
remembers the same thing about that teacher. A big forehead teacher
with white hairs inspiring students to develop passion on them……………
another question he asked to students.
” What was prime numbers?”
Are they finite or infinite?”
When you add or subtraction prime number by another prime number then
you will get next prime number?”
Are that prime number finite or infinite?”
Ok let me say you these answers, prime numbers are infinite but when
prime number is multiplied by another prime number then the next prime
number you will obtained then those series are finite or infinite,
this is still not solved and research works are being performed by
mathematicians who think to get Isaac award?”
One of the student asked what Isaac award was.
The old teacher replied,” firstly in honor of the great mathematician
Isaac Newton the award was launched for those who will contribute
something great in the criteria of mathematics. And this award was
awarded to a great mathematician Stefan Hawking’s who contributed a
lot in the field of mathematics. His book A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME and
THEORY OF EVERYTHING are the greatest book which talks about the
origin and formation about earth to black hole in a simple manner.
Have anyone read this book?-the old teacher asked.
In the class no only one boy raised his hands. The boy was simple and
wearing round spectacles, thin in size and tall. He was sitting in the
corner of the class.
Everyone turned their face towards that boy. Pin drop silent was
there. There was only one boy studying that book in the class. Sounds
quite funny. Such great book was studied by only one single boy and
none other were there who had heard about those books.
He replied –“I have read both the books”
The old teacher smiled and pointed to sit down with a cheerful smile
over his face. Among those students he found only a boy was there who
was really there to acquire knowledge others were just there to study
the theories given by other scientist. The old teacher was happy to
see a face of enlighten light with a passion of learning the nature
and universe, enjoying science.
The old teacher was there who had finished his half-life doing
research in the field of mathematics and now he was there to show a
path of students to help to dream and develop passion on them ……………
There he was the old teacher who hopes to do something in his entire
life and gives his disciplines to his followers. He wants to achieve
that Isaac award. But he always thinks he never had a time for his
research work. Presently his family boundaries, his duties for
teaching, he don’t have much time to think and without thinking he
wasn’t able achieve what he plan to think. He was always afraid that
he has to lose his family members and if he started to do research
work then he should not focus towards outstanding world. It may take
him for a year, or for 5 years or 10 years, or may be his entire life
to get success. So that he was afraid to start to think. He was not
afraid of the time, but of his family members and children. He now
lives only for his family but there was a time when he used to live
for his dream, his dream to contribute something in the world of
mathematics.
